"Imagine framing...real locations with factual info from Mr. Rizzo's detailed and well-delivered research, and you have a contemporary peek into one of this (WNY's) area's most well-known but seldom acknowledged history of the Mafia, primarily through the right-out-of- the-movies presence of the classic, quiet, reserved, publicity-shy Stefano Maggadino, a "businessman" who ruled this area's mob family as the territorially largest and most powerful in the nation. "The Godfather" and "The Sopranos" have pretty much iconicized (?) the roles played by these very real criminals, and somehow it looks as though this fascination with organized crime will never end. While all this may spell trouble for society, it spells opportunity for Rizzo. We wish him all success in his tour business. He's got an engaging personality, a terrific grip on the often-complicated facts, and just the right amount of humor. We give it "two-broken legs", er, that is, "two-thumbs- up"! Peter & Paulette "More than expected!" "Funny and informative." |
